Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. They are usually used to remember something between page loads — that you are logged in, or that you have dismissed a message.

This site uses very few of them, and none that follow you or build a profile of you. This page explains exactly what is set and when.

If you are just reading the site

No cookies are set. You can read every page here, follow the links, and leave again without anything being stored on your device.

There is no advertising on this site, no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no analytics software counting your visit.

If you use the contact form or newsletter form

Neither form sets a tracking cookie. Contact Form 7, the plugin behind them, may store a small marker in your browser so that a message is not accidentally submitted twice. It is not used to identify you, and it is not shared with anyone.

What happens to the information you type into those forms is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.

If you log in to the site

These apply only to site administrators. An ordinary visitor never receives them.

Typefaces

The fonts used on this site are served from this website’s own server. No font company receives your IP address or knows that you visited.

Links to other places

Some pages link out — to a publisher, to a video, to an archived recording. Those are ordinary links, not embedded players, so nothing loads from those services unless you choose to click through. Once you do, you are on their website and their cookie policy applies, not this one.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. Instructions are in the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Blocking cookies will not affect your reading of this site in any way. It will only make logging in less convenient, if you are an administrator.

Changes to this page

If anything about the cookies used here changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
